Our response to this question
is the same answer we give to other questions dotted around
our website: We are based in Harbin, China.
The cost of employing highly-skilled staff is a mere fraction
of what would be necessary in the west. Fixed costs are
also far lower than those for a translation company located
in a major international business centre like London.
For generation of profit, H.Y.C.C. relies on advance payment
(see Translation Procedure section for details), prompt
turnaround and high volume of business.
Furthermore, H.Y.C.C. is a small operation. We currently
have a pool of around thirty translators. Translators
report directly to top management, keeping costs to
a minimum. We have a network of lawyers, accountants,
real estate professionals and academics that we can
consult for specialized terminology and explanations
of complex concepts. We only use these resources when
necessary and always inform clients concerning surcharges
arising from such specialist advice prior to accepting
projects.
High levels of quality are ensured by using native
speakers of the target language at all stages of the
translation, particularly when nearing completion. Close
contact is also maintained with the client to avoid
misunderstandings relating to client-specific terminology. |
