Dalian University of Technology (DUT) has been teaching Chinese Language to foreign students for over twelve years, and currently enrolled international students come from 45 countries. The campus is the most attractive of all the universities that HYCC works with in northeastern China.
The main part of the university campus is located in a valley surrounded by hills, and is a mix of classical, understated teaching buildings and modern sports facilities (athletics stadium, swimming pool, gymnasium, dance studio, tennis courts, ten-pin bowling etc.). There is also a hotel on campus. The main library is located right next to the international students teaching building, which is based in the centre of the campus.
DUT is not in the centre of town. From the main train station a bus ride of about 30 minutes brings you to the east gate of the campus. Based in the suburbs, the campus is spacious and full of trees - a relaxing place to study. There are several dormitories for foreign students around the campus, although a few of them are 5-10 minutes walk away from the foreign students teaching building.
Unfortunately, due to the pleasent environment surrounding the university apartment costs in the area are no cheaper than in the centre of town. The area is quieter, but lacks the convenience and vibrant atmosphere of a city centre campus.
Boasting excellent facilities, a good academic reputation and an established Chinese Language programme, DUT is an ideal environment in which to study.
