The facilities at Qiqihar University for foreign students are advanced, mainly because the school's Chinese Language program has been expanded only recently - most of the equipment used is new. Classrooms, multi-media rooms, computer rooms, reference rooms, a dormitory, dining hall, gym and stadium can all be used by the foreign students.
Each dormitory is equipped with a bathroom, a color television set, a telephone, a high-speed internet line jack and a cable television system. Television programs from such countries as China, Korea, Japan, Russia and Hongkong are available in each dormitory. The dormitory is heated in winter.
The university is committed to teaching students in small groups, so each class is on average smaller than in most other universities. Qiqihar University is a friendly and welcoming place. Foreign students are still quite a new phenomenon in Qiqihar, so while you may miss some of the comforts of home, the locals will do their best to make up for it with their hospitality.
